The Church's Loving Intervention: Lent

This is a one off talk given to the youth group at St Gerasimos church in Leichhardt.

Great Lent, in the patristic vision, is not merely a seasonal discipline but a therapeutic and anthropological journey that restores the human person to communion with God through fasting, repentance, and embodied ascetic practice. By uniting bodily discipline with interior transformation, Lent prepares the faithful to participate existentially, not just symbolically, in the Paschal mystery of Christ’s Resurrection.
