In this talk, Father Demos reflects on the powerful witness of women throughout the life of the Church and the ways their faith, courage and holiness reveal Christ to the world. Drawing on the lives of the Saints, the Gospel account of Mary of Bethany, and the example of the Theotokos (mother of God), he explores what it means to offer ourselves fully to God and to recognise Christ as both King and Lord. The discussion also leads into the Dormition Fast and the Church’s deep devotion to the Mother of God, highlighting the enduring place of holy women within Orthodox spiritual life.
