Ascetical Theology, Neurobiological Advances and Trauma Therapy

St Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Theological College, in conjunction with the Pastoral Health Care Network Australia, welcomed the Revd Dr Fr Stephen Muse for a lecture entitled “Reflections on the Convergence of Ascetical Theology, Neurobiological Advances and Trauma Therapy in Clinical Practice.” In this talk, Fr Stephen Muse explores the relationship between the wisdom of the Orthodox ascetical tradition and contemporary developments in neuroscience and trauma therapy, highlighting how both seek the healing and restoration of the whole human person—mind, body and soul.
